The 2003 Bill Straehle Award

Bill Straehle dedicated much of his life to young people in Howard County in
particular, those attending Mt. Hebron. Prior to his death in September,
1990, Bill and his wife, Betty, served on the Mt. Hebron Guidance Advisory
Committee and coordinated the junior job interview program. This program
offers over 300 students the opportunity to participate in a mock-interview
with a business professional. Since Bill was a person who worked diligently
behind the scenes and always exhibited high standards of character,
integrity, and responsibility, one outstanding senior is selected each year to
honor his name with the same values and work ethic.
